Stanley and Selection Tools

I used many different tools to create this after shot of Stanley. I went overboard, but still think the after is kind of cool. This is most certainly is a “Monet”. Remember the movie “Clueless”? They called something that looks good from afar but not so great close up a Monet.
First I used the quick selection tool to get rid of the background around Stanley.
The I opened up a sky picture I love and created a gradient with it and saved it.
I used the paint bucket tool to make it appear that Stanley is on the beach.
I don’t think he’s ever been to the beach before!

Post-Processing Blahs

I have openly professed my love for Photoshop Elements. I am not backing away from my love, just wondering if I'm taking advantage of it. I must be going through the, "if a little is good, a lot must be great!" stage. A little lightening of the shadows where needed? Great. Sliding the little slider (so, I'm having a brain fart) way too far to the right probably isn't a great photographic idea.

Anyway, I finally got out of the house on Saturday after being sick all week, and met a friend and Grandma Deb at the park. It was nice to get out and breathe in fresh air.

Here are some before and after (using my love) pics I took. Please, oh please, let me know if you think my post-processing photos are just too much. Sometimes I think they look great, other times I wonder if they look too fake.

Outdoor Collage

I love taking pictures outside. For one, I haven't really figured out how to get good lighting inside and outside is already brilliantly lit for taking pictures. Two, the colors that God has given us are incredible!

This is a collage of some of my favorite outdoor pictures I've taken.
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I have!
