I’m Baaaaaack!

Wow! I have been MIA to the blogging world for a few weeks now! Days must have turned into weeks without me even being aware of it. Time to get back on the bandwagon!

I’ll relay a funny story to get back in the swing of things. Ryan makes us laugh about 1,538 times a day. I need to make a greater effort to record his goofy ways.

We were driving to cub scouts and Ryan asks me, “Mom, will I grow hair on my ball sack?”

“You’ll have to ask your dad about your scrotum Ryan. I am a woman and don’t have one,” I reply taking the easy way out.

A few seconds pass and he asks, “Mom, have you ever touched a ….gravestone?” You know what I was thinking that he was going to ask, right?!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Life has been uber hectic lately which hasn’t left me much time for blogging or taking pictures. But, I wanted to at least get this posted for Sunday Scavenger Hunt since this was the one challenge I did do this week.

10 on Tuesday

1. I am becoming a more patient waiter. I'm waiting right now in a waiting room. Wait. Wait. Wait. Doesn't that word seem weird when you say it over and over?

2. For the record, I think it's gross to not wash your hands after you use the restroom.

3. QWERTY keyboards on phones aren't that easy to type blog posts on, but I'm bored and it will have to do while I'm in the waiting room waiting.

4. Have you ever had the pleasure of having a tooth extracted? I did yesterday. Tooth number 14 is gone. I blame my incessant night time tooth grinding and Cap'n Crunch for its demise.

5. I stink at keeping up with family/friends that I don't live close to. To take it a step further, I stink at keeping in contact with friends/family I do live close to. It's one of my many character flaws. Sorry friends and family. :(

6. I love Tacos Bell's bean burritos.

7. Since we're talking about flaws, here's some more of mine to add to the list. I'm not a good housekeeper. I become a recluse when I'm feeling depressed. I get annoyed very easily. I avoid conflict. I hate doing laundry. I might be addicted to The Desperate Housewives of Atlanta (NY, NJ, etc.)

8. Now some good things. I'm never bored. I have a way of seeing both sides to every story. I can see the big picture. I have a deep faith in God.

9. Nine will have to be all there is today. My wait is coming to an end at this appointment!

Have a great Tuesday!

Hugs From Henry–Love, Lucas

We got a special delivery yesterday! Henry arrived at our house! To learn more about Henry, click here. Charlie and Henry got familiar with each other in the van on our way to an appointment downtown.

Henry got to go to Sonic to get a bubble gum slushy. He wanted a sundae, but I said, “no”. Instead, he got his picture taken with a sundae.

We had some time to spare before the appointment. We decided to go to Finlay Park to have Henry’s picture taken with the cool fountain there. First, we had to put some money in the meter.

Wouldn’t you know it, the fountain was turned off. But Henry didn’t mind. I caught him climbing a tree with Columbia in the background and snapped a picture of him.

He sure likes to climb. I told him to be careful climbing up this rock wall, and he listened very well. He stopped to take a break and pose.

After the park and appointment, we walked to a cool church downtown where I took a shot of Ryan a few months ago and loved it. Henry obliged and was willing to pose there as well.

Henry asked if he could take a little break. Since he got here he’s been one busy sock monkey!
6

When we got home, he played some peek-a-boo. Boy, did he think he was funny!

One last activity he wanted to do was swing upside down in the trees. I think Henry really enjoyed his time with us here!
