Five Question Friday

Here's a fun meme! It's called Five Question Friday from My Little Life.

1. If you could, would you go back to high school?
I think I would. I have about a million times more confidence in myself now which would makes high school  lot more pleasurable than it was.

2. If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes, what would they be? (And, no saying "more wishes".)
1) World Peace?
2) End world hunger?
I only joke because I really can't limit it to two things and have them be weighted by #1 and #2 because I'd lay awake at night thinking about all the other more relavent things I should've put down. Insecure much??!!

3. What kids show do you secretly like?
iCarly!!! I love that show and I don't care who knows it!

4. What is your beverage of choice?
Diet Mt. Dew. It's my liquid gold!

5. What is something that you would change about yourself (or are working to change in yourself)?
My weight. How cliche! But, so very true! I let it get wayyyyyy out of control and am diligently working to overcome this food addiction. So I guess it's not so much about weight, but working through this addiction. I'm going to plug a great book that's really been helping me on this front..."Spirit Led Eating" by Erling Fredrickson.

Raw(e) Red - SOOC shot

I'm joining in with Sailor & Company's Raw(e) theme this week... Red. Basically you enter an unedited photo based on the week's theme. Good stuff!

I love this shot of Charlie. It's one in a series of him trying to blow a bubble.

Three Things Thursday - Week 2 - Grocery Ads

This week at Three Things Thursday the topic is grocery ads.

Please pardon the crappy unedited photos, but it's not about the quality of the photos this time, but the hilarity of them.

Thanks goes out to my local Piggly Wiggly for providing these funnies for me!

1) 1. 2. 3. Hmmmm. That wasn't that hard, was it? Maybe their ad writer and photographer didn't communicate and haven't quite gotten one to one correspondence yet.

2. There's just something a tad bit off about offering free alcohol, dontcha think?

3. Just glance at this. Your first read was probably like mine. You read "icky penis" bread didn't you? I am not inclined to buy any icky penis bread. Ick!

Top Ten Tuesdays

Top Ten Totally Selfish Things I'd Buy if Money Wasn't an Issue

1. A big ol' trampoline

2. A pretty purple netbook

3. Rachel Ray cookware

4. You have to have the knives to go with the pots and pans.

5. Nikon D90 (with 18-105mm VR Lens) or another equally capable camera

6. A new compact SUV...
I love the Honda brand and have very good luck with Hondas.

8. A maid...who wouldn't want this?

9. An infinity pool overlooking the ocean

10. A state-of-the-art RV for cross-country travels

Sweet Shot Tuesday - Fish Eye

I stumbled upon a neat site that encourages you to get out there and take pictures everyday and share a shot that you love from the current week.

This is one of my favorite of this week. While we were camping I took many shots that really moved me. There's something about little boys and nature that just needs to be photographed!

I Heart Faces Weekly Challenge #17 - Smiles

Ryan was an inconsolable baby. Nothing, except nursing, made him happy. Nothing that is, except the ocean. The baby that never stopped crying and clinging to me was ultra-content, even happy, at the ocean. To this day, his favorite place in the world is the ocean. Nothing makes him smile more!

To brighten your day with more smiles, go to I Heart Faces now!

Camping at Santee State Park

You know what's better than a great weekend away camping? A nice hot shower to wash all of the filth off of you!

The boys, Charlie's friend and I went camping with some great friends to Santee State Park. We left after school on Friday and spent two nights there.

I so wish this picture would have been better or at least something to work with because I love the happy smile on Ryan's face.

Mr. Nick was the chef of the weekend. He took good care of us all!

Enough of the pictures already, mom!

Good bye Santee! We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again!

Three Things Thursday - Week 1 - Spring

I'm cheating. I'm doing Three Things Thursday on Wednesday. This is the first week of TTT (Three Things Thursday) so I wanted to get a head start and provide a good example.

This first week's theme is spring pictures and/or memories.

Like most everyone else, I LOVE spring! Renewal, hope and new life are a few of the things that instantly come to mind when I think about this season.

My gut told me to include the gorgeous blossoming flower pictures I've taken this spring, but I'm going against my gut this time.

Ahhh! Freshly mowed grass is certainly a sign of spring that can't be ignored.

Nothing says spring to me like dirty, muddy, wet, stinky, happy boys.

Since I live in the number one peach-producing state of South Carolina, I must include a beautiful peach blossoms picture.

What's on your list for Three Things Thursday?
