Hello Monday!

Hello second to last full week of school before Christmas break.

Hello week of decorating for Christmas.

Hello week of beautiful holiday desserts…ok fine. I’m just dreaming about that, not actually doing that.

I can’t get these super-easy chocolate chip blondies out of my mind.

1 1/2 C packed brown sugar

1/2 C butter, melted

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 C flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 C chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13x9 pan with butter spray. Mix the brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Mix the wet and dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread gooey goodness in the pan, that is, if you have any left after sampling the batter.

I loved making friendship bracelets when I was young. Seeing string/thread like this makes me go back down Memory Lane.

By the looks of this picture, it is so hard to believe it is the time of year it is. How can it be December and a hydrangea still be in bloom?

 

Full of Light

Specifically, full of back-lit sun.

 

Motion

It was hard to capture this butterfly while he was in (near) constant motion.

Toilet Papering

Some mature friends thought it would be funny to add a little decoration to our yard last night.

This group of ladies and I call ourselves the Mommy Mafia.

Our friendships' formed when we all had little ones seven years ago and we were all active in the MOMS Club. Even though we can go months without seeing each other, when we get together we have the best of times. 

We laugh until we cry or pee our pants. 

I am so thankful for the Mommy Mafia! What a wonderful group of nine beautiful women!
