Grandma Deb's Paradise

The boys and I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon at my mom's house. This is the time of year we get to really enjoy her gorgeous yard. Recovering from about a week of a flare, I perched my hiney on the hammock and watched the action going on around me.

Stanley was my constant companion for the day. He sits below
me, on the look out for a creature or two he can chase.

Above me is a beautiful pergola.

When I tire of swaying in the gentle warm South Carolina breeze,
I move to a comfy lime green adirondack chair.

Then the most amazing lizard pops into my view and I have to go get a closer look.

Amazing, right? If you're not amazed by the first picture, take a
close look at his eyelids in this one. OMG! A-maze-ing!

Charlie comes along to show me what he's caught.

Then we go on the lookout for more caterpillars. First we look up the big hickory tree.

Then we walk around the house and found a few in the bushes.

It never fails, if you're at Grandma Deb's house, she's going to put you to work in some stage of planting. Ryan uses his strong-man muscles to dig a hole for a plant.

There are so many flowers in her yard that I have a hard time not taking a picture of each and every one of them. I'll share two that caught my eye.

This was one nice and relaxing Sunday afternoon! A lot of love and time
and money has gone into their paradise and I thouroughly enjoy it!

Hope you enjoyed our day!
Sarah:)

  1. What an amazing lizard! It looks like that yard is just short of a paradise for kids to explore and moms to relax in. Thanks for sharing it.
