We just spent a week on the gulf coast. Our vacation plans were very wishy-washy and depended on the way the wind blew the oil. We were lucky to still be able to go on our vacation as planned because the oil was moving away from the area. When we arrived, however, they were ready to ward off any oil that did come their way. The yellow things in this picture are oil containment booms, just in case.
Sarah:)
Great choice!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE The Gulf, but we're heading to Orlando this year, "just in case". It's so sad.
Great perspective. I'm glad the oil spill did not ruin your vacation. You had some great pictures.
ReplyDeleteInteresting use of yellow!!
ReplyDeleteThis really made the spill seem real, and so sad. The beautiful sand, the "ready to dig" pose and the booms in the back. One photo says it all. Thanks for visiting my blog too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good beach day. Some of our hair went into making those booms, wonder if it's in there?
ReplyDeleteGlad your vacation didn't get ruined and glad they weren't having to use them......yet. Nice photo for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. Glad you were still able to have a nice vacation.
ReplyDeleteCool shot! So glad your vacation could go ahead as planned.
ReplyDeleteThis is so interesting.
