Let’s be honest, all of my shots this week are kind of weird. Weird in just, well, a weird way.
I can’t explain it, so I’ll just get on with it and show you my shots.
Macro
Any guess on what this is a macro shot of?
Found Texture
Again, any guess what this found texture is?
Home
What kind of soil do you have? We have red clay and it drives me nuts because it is EVERYWHERE!
Cover
Most are red. Some are blue. It’s comforting to know we have a fire hydrant in our side yard.
Tree
We have one tree. :( When we saw this lot we like it because it was all trees. We assumed they’d keep at least some of the trees, but we assumed wrong.
Project Pinterest, hosted by Katie and me, will start this week!

I like your little tree! Maybe some of your shots today are a little weird, but that's better than boring!
ReplyDeleteAw, too bad they chopped down the trees...that's one thing that I love about Finland; they tend to be better about working around/with nature, rather than bulldozing it over! Cute little tree you've planted, though!
ReplyDeleteAs for your guessing game...I'm such a terrible guesser: Some kind of reflective sign for the first one, and the second one looks almost like a walnut to me...but it's maybe too red for that...so I'm guessing some kind of wooden growth, or something!
Love your take on cover, it's such a pretty fire hydrant too. We have the same problem with the trees, we're in a new estate so very few lovely mature trees here. Your's will be lovely though when it grows up. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment at mine, I think the reflection in my macro is the leaves above and as for the countries, well it's hard to say, positives with many of them but I definitely feel most settled here in Australia.
Have a great week! :-)
We're surrounded by trees here and the developers had to plant loads so that they could get the planning permisison. It won't take too long I'm sure for that lovely little tree to look really majestic. I really like that blue hydrant - never seen one that colour before.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say weird, I'd say creative and interesting! :) I love your cover shot! And your tree.
ReplyDeleteWeird? Pish-posh 'weird' photography is some of the best in my opinion. I agree with an above poster the first looks like some kind of reflective material but for the life of my I can't be more specific than that. lol
ReplyDeleteThe second one looks like a fake brain for Halloween...now I could be way of base there but blame it on the fact that Halloween is right around the corner.
Love your interpretation for cover! Very cool shot.
The first picture is really really cool!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the first two are, but they certainly make for great photos ;D I find myself taking lots of "weird" photos for the crazy scavenger hunt!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture, I'm going to say a bumpy pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteOne tree is better than no tree? Sorry that you don't have some of the older ones -- what these developers think is important sometimes is questionable.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commenting and following. Following you now too. Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend.
I really like your texture capture. And we ran into the same problem with trees being removed when we built too....so sad :(
ReplyDeleteKathy
Wow! They took all the trees away! That's a shame. Love the idea for the fire hydrant. We have one as well between ours and the neighbor's yard..
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the first two are! That is terrible about the trees though. Our neighbor cut down all the trees in her yard, which gave a ton of shade to ours, we were so disappointed!
ReplyDeleteYour macro looks really cool - also like your cover.
ReplyDeleteYour texture looks like guts to me...Lol! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I'm not sure what the first one is but i'm gonna guess the 2nd one is some kind of gourd?
ReplyDeleteLove your tree shot processing. Very cool. I also like cap, great color.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog
Great shots...too bad about the trees...always the way with new developments....been there before ourselves.
