Beverage
This is a repost from yesterday, but it was just too cool to not use for beverage. Guess that’s what I get for not thinking ahead!

Look at that feathering of the hair!

Have a great week everyone!

I think I’ve mentioned that I’ve been in a flare all week. Today, I’m feeling a bit better, at least well enough to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time. I haven’t been out at all to take pictures this week, but played around today some in PSE 8. Here’s what I came up with.
Filter>Stylize> Glowing Edges
Filter>Artistic>Neon Glow>Adjusted color and brightness
I walked away from my computer for a few hours and can’t remember at all what I did with this. Do you know of a way to be able to look at every step you took, other than in the layers panel?
Here’s the original.
My favorite is the first “glowing edges” one. What’s yours?
Sarah:)
I love challenges that make me step out of my usual post editing box and try something new.
To get this look in PSE 8, go to Filter, Distort, then Spherize. You can manipulate the percentage you wish to blow up the “bubble” size or decrease its size.
These Mighty Beanz look like they’re about to pop right out of the picture!
Here is the before shot.

1. I made my son cry tonight. I felt like such a meany and totally wish I would’ve just held my tongue. I hope this makes me stop before saying what’s in my head next time. It’s so not fun to see your little one hurt because of something you said. :(
2. Join me on my boycott of Cap’n Crunch. I have an abscessed tooth due to breaking my tooth from eating Cap’n Crunch one morning a month or so ago. Now, because of CC, I need a root canal. Help!!

3. I love the rain. I love the way it sounds. I love the way it smells. I love the grey, cloudiness it produces. That’s part of the reason I belong in Seattle!

4. I’m having a flare. My body hurts. I have fevers off and on due to inflammation. I’m so tired that I sleep all day. The good news is that this is the first time I’ve had one in months and it’s pretty minor.
5. My husband’s DM called my husband lazy and told him he didn’t have a good work ethic. People could call my husband a lot of names (as we all could be called a lot of names) but those two names? NEVER! He is the hardest worker I’ve EVER known. Seriously, just to save labor, he worked 21 hours the other day. Makes me think that his DM just wants Kurt to explode at him for such an erroneous insult.
6. I can’t get enough of this part of the song. It’s at the one minute mark. Make sure you have rolled up the rug and cleared the furniture away if you listen to this. It makes you want to party! Funny thing is though, I can’t stand the rest of the song, and didn’t like it the first time it came out either.
7. I haven't read a good fiction book in ages. I’ve just been reading non-fiction and I really need to get my hands on a good engrossing story.
8. I’m sad that football is almost over and that basketball has started. I love to watch football on tv (and in real life) but hate to watch basketball on tv (although I do enjoy it in real life). I think it’s the constant squeaky noises of the shoes and the floor that really drive me nuts. And, go Packers!
9. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding Teen Mom on MTV. After seeing how tough it is on these girls, I’d think that people would be praising this show for showing the bad parts of being a parent. I don’t think it’s glorifying teen parenthood at all.
10. On the other hand, all of the Desperate Housewives shows are just ridiculous. I have a confession to make though, I LOVE them all. They make me feel like I’m pretty normal. Every season makes me feel better and better about myself!
Have a great week everyone!
Sarah:)
This girl (and this boy on her right) is about as sweet as you can imagine. She loves to get things for you. She loves to turn off lights. She loves to sit next to you or on top of you and be pet. She’s a real sweet dog. She makes so many people happy. She is a service dog with Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services.
Sarah:)
My husband was looking through the blog last night and reminded me of some fun times. We all thought these pictures were hysterical back then, and quite frankly, still think they’re downright funny now.
***These were taken back when I had no idea at all what I was doing with a camera.***

I have a confession.
EVERY single one of these pictures is from the archives. This is the first week in a LONG time that I’ve barely picked up my camera. My guess would be that I spent most of the week recuperating from the boys unexpected 10 days off from school.
Lame excuse?
Yes, but that’s all I could come up with right now!
Even though they’re not new, there are some fun pictures in here.
Memories
This was taken at the State Capital when there was a session going on.
This was with my old point and shoot camera, but I still love this shot.
Doorway
Again, taken with the old P&S, but still like the composition.
Reflection
This was from our trip to FL last year. We were on a deep sea fishing trip and felt like death might be a better option than dealing with the sea sickness.

Silver
I have this picture framed in my kitchen. It’s another P&S shot but I just adore it.
Silhouette
Again, a P&S shot, but how cool is that bird and fish?

Flamingos stink. But, what they lack in pleasant scents, they more than make up for with their beautiful color and uniqueness!
